Born and raised in Hartford, Ashon has established numerous contacts and is well known throughout the area with over four years experience in the mortgage industry. After graduating from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Ashon embarked upon a short career before starting in the business as a credit counselor where he has helped countless individuals improve their credit standing to qualify for home loans. After several months of counseling he began originating loans as a mortgage consultant to better assist his clients in receiving suitable financing. Ashon identifies with many of his client’s backgrounds and has a burning passion for helping first-time homebuyers achieve their piece of the American Dream. He also spearheads Horizon Home Mortgage’s Homeownership Ministry, which promotes homebuyer education in the faith-based community. In addition to mortgages, he volunteers his time mentoring and working with youth throughout the City of Hartford. Ashon resides in Hartford with his wife and three children.
